Step 1: Make the Intention — and the Booking
The journey begins with niyyah, and practically, with choosing a registered Hajj operator. Book early: Hajj 2027 is expected around 14–19 May 2027, and reputed operators' seats fill months in advance.
Step 2: Documents and Health
Your operator will guide you through the passport, photographs, forms, and visa facilitation (approvals always rest with Saudi authorities). Complete required vaccinations, and if you have any health conditions, consult your doctor early and inform your operator honestly — hiding medical conditions can cause serious trouble at emigration. Step 3: Learn Before You Leave

Step 4: Understand the Shape of the Journey
Before the Hajj days: You'll arrive in Makkah (or Madinah first, depending on your package), perform Umrah, and settle into a rhythm of prayers in the Haram.
8 Dhul Hijjah: In Ihram, you move to the tent city of Mina.
9 Dhul Hijjah — Arafah: The heart of Hajj. From noon to sunset you stand in dua at Arafat. Whatever you do, prepare your dua list before this day. Night is spent under the open sky at Muzdalifah.
10 Dhul Hijjah — Eid: Stoning at the large Jamarah, the sacrifice, hair shaving/trimming, and Tawaf al-Ifadah.
11–13 Dhul Hijjah: Stoning at all three Jamaraat daily from Mina, then the farewell Tawaf.

Step 5: What First-Timers Worry About (and Shouldn't)
"Will I get lost?" You move with your group, identifiable and led. Save your group leader's number, carry your ID card, and note your hotel's name.
"Will the crowds overwhelm me?" Crowds are part of Hajj's majesty. Your operator's logistics — transport timing, tent location near the Jamaraat, hotel proximity — are what make crowds manageable. This is exactly where choosing well pays off.
"What if I make a mistake in the rituals?" Ask your accompanying Alim immediately. Most slips have straightforward remedies. Allah's mercy is wider than your worry.
