Day 1 — 8 Dhul Hijjah: Into the White City of Mina

In Ihram, you travel from Makkah to Mina — a valley transformed into the largest tent city on Earth. The Sunnah of this day (Yawm al-Tarwiyah) is simple and beautiful: prayers, remembrance, rest. Your tent is your home for most of the coming days, which is why its category, air-conditioning, and above all its location relative to the Jamaraat matter enormously — a fact you'll feel in your legs on Days 3–6.

Day 2 — 9 Dhul Hijjah: Arafah, the Day of Days

After Fajr, pilgrims move to the plain of Arafat. From midday to sunset, you stand before your Lord — no ritual to perform except the greatest one: dua. The Prophet ﷺ said Hajj is Arafah. Bring a written dua list; the hours pass faster than you believe. Physically it is a long, warm, emotional day — hydration, shade arrangements and calm logistics protect your focus for what you actually came for.

After sunset, without praying Maghrib at Arafat, the ocean of pilgrims flows to Muzdalifah, where Maghrib and Isha are combined and the night is spent under the open sky. Day 3 — 10 Dhul Hijjah: Eid, the Day of Sacrifice

The busiest day of Hajj, with four acts in sequence: Rami (stoning the large Jamarah — Jamarat al-Aqabah), the sacrifice, Halq/Taqsir (shaving or trimming), and Tawaf al-Ifadah in Makkah. Ihram restrictions lift in stages as these are completed. Crowds peak today; disciplined group timing — moving to the Jamaraat at the hours your leaders designate — is what keeps this day safe and smooth.

Days 4–6 — 11 to 13 Dhul Hijjah: The Days of Tashreeq

You remain based in Mina, and each day perform Rami at all three Jamaraat in order — small, middle, large — with dua between them. These are days of dhikr, gratitude and brotherhood in the tents. Pilgrims may depart after the 12th under the concession, or stay through the 13th. Then, before leaving Makkah for home, the farewell Tawaf al-Wada — the goodbye that no pilgrim forgets.
